Knockbridge

Hurling Club

With deepest regret and heavy hearts club members learned on Sunday evening December 23, of the saddest of news that Aidan Kerrigan passed away suddenly.

Our deepest sympathies to his wife Mairead, daughter Michelle, sons Conor, Shane and Gavin, his daughter in law Tara, son in law Niall, grandchildren Ryan, Iona and Caden and all of his extended family. Aidan was a cornerstone and founding member of our club who we would like you all to remember in your prayers at this time.

Aidan worked tirelessly and selflessly to pass on to others his deep love of hurling and there is not a person who lived in Knockbridge during the past 30 years who did not know of his love for the game, his passion was infectious. The look of immense pride and joy on his face as a proud Wexford man welcoming both Faythe Harriers and Oulart the Ballagh for Leinster Senior Championship matches to a club he helped form will forever live in the memory of all of us who have been privileged enough to have either coached beside or played for Aiden. He was waked at his home in Grange on Wednesday, December 26, with funeral mass and burial in Knockbridge on Thursday last December 27. Ar dheis de go raibh a hanam dilis.
