Both St. Mochtas team ladies and men commenced their league campaigns last Sunday. First up was the ladies team who travelled to Drogheda to take Newtown Blues. Then at three o clock the mens team played host to St. Kevin's in Pairc Mochta and they stated the league campaign in the best possible way with a facile win over them.next Sunday again next Sunday they have a home match against Young Irelanders and lets hope their winning ways continues.
Unfortunately the ladies were not as lucky where despite of a brave display they went under to a very strong Newtown Blues side.

We send our sympathies to Gerry and Moira Connolly on the death of his sister Patricia Myers Dundalk. Patricia and her family did live in Louth a number of years ago and is still fondly remembered by her old neighbours. After funeral Mass in The Church of the Holy Family Dundalk her burial took place in Louth. We extend her sympathies to all her family.
It is 350 years since St. Oliver Plunket was appointed Archbishop of Armagh and to commemorate it a special bronze statue will be unveiled in Armagh Cathedral on July 9th and as Louth has a special connection with the Saint some people might like to be there at the unveiling and envelopes are available at the Church Door and can be returned in the collection or left in the Sacristy.
Last week the Community Centre Committee held their A.G.M and it turned out a very successful meeting. This was their first meeting since the refurbishment. We will have more information next week.
