St Patrick's Day Parade

We hope that you're all getting excited about the 3rd Cooley Peninsula St. Patrick's Day Parade!

All participants in the parade, groups, clubs, floats and vehicles, are requested to be assembled at Murphy's Garage, Bush, Riverstown, for 12.30pm at the latest on that day. The Parade will commence at 1.00pm on Tuesday 17th March, leaving Murphy's and making it's way down the main road to finish up at Cooley Kickhams GFC Complex. A courtesy bus will be available for anyone who wishes to park at the Complex/ Playground /Parochial Hall and be brought to the starting point of the parade.

After the parade, upstairs in the Complex, bowls of hot stew will be served along with kids' hot snack boxes, for which there will be a nominal charge of €5 per person or €20 per family. A children's disco will be held in the sports hall while you can watch the day's sporting fixtures live on the big screens upstairs. Live music entertainment will also be provided.

We're hoping that this event will be a great success but for that to happen we need your participation and support. Please show your support in any way that you can.

St. Patrick's Movie Night

Here we go, folks, again, after hosting ten very successful fund-raising shows, we are so pleased to announce yet another fund-raising show, this time it's taking place in the comfort of the Carrickdale Hotel on Saturday 13th June 2020. You are very welcome to take part. if you had been a member of one of the many previous shows, you will remember the buzz and the camaraderie you had with the other contestants/committee.

Well, It's that time to get involved again or come along for the very first time, you won't regret it. You don't have to be from the area, you don't have to be connected with the club, anybody everybody is very welcome. It all begins with an information night on Monday, March 16.

There will be seven movies, with 6/7 to 15+ people in each movie, as scripts are all different. Training will be weekend sessions 4 in total, also involved is a casting night, & then a launch night. All your questions answered at the information night on Monday the 16th March @ 7.00pm (sharp) upstairs in the St. Patrick's large function room. Here Kevin Rowe will be present to go through with you all that's involved, tea and light snacks will be served.

The MC on the movie show night will be Adrian Kennedy of 98fm or Darragh Maloney RTE, and your acting coach will be a professional from Kevin Rowe Events Ltd are all professionals and the creators of the format.

Minor League Win for Peninsula Side

Cooley Kickhams/Cuchulainn Gaels beat Kilkerly/Naomh Malachi by 5-9 to 1-4 in the 1st round of the division 1 minor league. At half time the peninsula side were ahead by 4-8 to 0-2.

Cooley Advance in Sheelan Cup

Cooley Kickhams drew with Dundalk Gaels 1-9 to 0-12 in the last of the group matches in the Paddy Sheelan Cup. At half time the Dundalk Gaels were ahead 0-8 to 0-4.

Division 4 League Win for Cooley

Cooley Kickhams beat St. Brides in a division 4 league match played at Fr. McEvoy Park. The visitors led at half time by 0-5 to 0-2 but Cooley got the all important goals in the second half, 2 from Joe Mee and 1 from Declan Sheelan, to swing the match in their favour and secure a 3-7 to 0-8 win.
