Kilcurry Tidy Towns Group
Spring clean takes place this year Sat 30th March. We will have gloves and bags available at the community centre from 9am that morning. If any one needs gloves and bags please get in touch.
Kilcurry Bowls Club
Club night on Tuesday nights at 8pm. We always welcome people interested in trying bowling out.
Craft evening on Tuesdays 7.30pm to 9pm. Everybody welcome to join us for any crafting, cuppa and a chat.
Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8.15pm. Friday mornings at the new time of 9am to 10.15am, if you have dropped the kids to school join us for our class.
Classes on Thursdays from 5pm to 6pm. All welcome.

Hurling Club AGM
Knockbridge Hurling Club AGM is this Friday, March 7, in Community Centre.
All New and Present Members welcome. The Club held a successful Table Quiz in Cluskey's last Friday night. Many thanks to all the teams who participated and to all those who supplied prizes for Raffle. Special thanks much go to Frank and Theresa Carney who have been running this Quiz for the last 30 years and as always did a tremendous job.

Community Centre opening
This coming Sunday sees the long awaited official opening of the refurbished community centre following its upgrade. The events commence at 1.45pm with the arrival of guests visitors and the local community.
The official launch and will be at 2.00pm by Chairperson Paul Kelly. This will be followed by speeches by P.R.O. of Louth Community centre Damien McCann and by a representative of Louth Leader. There will also be a short address by Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council Liam Reilly. Then the blessing of the centre will take place by Fr. Sean McArdle P.P. Louth.
A commemorative will then be unveiled by Louth Leader partnership in conjunction with Liam Reilly and honorary President of Louth Village Community Centre Committee. The event will finish with tea and sandwiches being served from 2.25pm to 3pm. We wish them well for the day.
This Coming Saturday 9th evening is the date for St. Mochtas dinner dance when the winning Intermediate team will receive their medals. Doors open at 7.15 pm and four course meal served Tickets are still available and anyone wanting one can contact Orla orla on 0879800284 of any committee member.
Then on Friday evening registration for all juvenile boys from under 6's to under 14's in the club rooms from 7pm to 9pm. All those present on the night will receive a Mochtas half zippy. Please remember parents should also be present. Adults can also renew their membership that evening.
St. Mochtas qualified for the quarter final of the Paddy Sheelan Cup when they defeated Sean O Mahonys on a score line of 2-16 to 2-9. We wish them the best of luck.
The Louth ladies Football team are commencing the subsidiary league when they play their first game against local rivals Glyde Rangers in Pairc Mochta next Sunday . Throw in time 12.00noon. We wish them well forb the coming season.
The Louth Abbey vintage club are busy preparing for their big day on St. Patricks day and already have the flags up around the village. Anyone who would like to join the parade should contact any member and you would be more than welcomed. The morning will start with the usual breakfast and this year This year they will have a special guest on the day who is Dave Duffy better known as Leo from fair city. More information next week.

Naomh Malachi had their second match of the 2019 senior football season in the Kevin Mullen Shield Group D last Sunday against the Westerns in Reaghstown. Naomh Malachi continued their good run of form with a close win. The final result was Naomh Malachi 1 -8, Westerns 0-10. This was another great performance for the local lads under their new manager Noel Litchfield.
The under 16s combination of Kilkerley / Naomh Malachi had their second win in a row of the season against O'Connells / Stabannon Parnells / John Mitchels in Páirc Naomh Malachi last Sunday. This proved to be a local winning combination and another great performance on their second game of the season. Final score was Kilkerley / Naomh Malachi 7-15 vs O'Connells / Stabannon Parnells / John Mitchels 0-2.
