I think most of us enjoy a good cup of tea, but what about trying some herbal ones? There are lots to choose from and they're a great addition to any diet.

For example Yarrow is a herbal tea that's used for menstrual problems including heavy, painful, and can be used if you need to improve menstrual flow. It's a tea that can help tone your blood vessels, and maybe help lower blood pressure. Yarrow is a good one to have if you have a high fever as it's the herb to induce sweating. If you have weak digestion or if you get colicky pain, stomach cramps, or bloating you could try this tea. It was even used to prevent and clear blood clots. You can drink up to three cups per day. It was traditionally known as the cure-all herb used externally for the first aid treatment of nosebleeds and to heal wounds.

Dandelion is a good tea to help with digestion mostly because it helps improve bile flow, helping symptoms of indigestion and feeling full after eating. Some people have better bowel function when they drink dandelion tea.

Dandelion is a natural diuretic and many people use it for fluid retention anywhere in the body. It's a useful one for fluid retention associated with flying or with warm weather. It may help reduce inflammation in the body. It's a natural source of vitamin A. If you're working towards reducing cholesterol you could add dandelion into your regime. It may help lower overall cholesterol and triglycerides.

Echinacea tea has therapeutic benefits for overall health and wellness, especially to boost the immune system. It can help fight off colds and flu, shortening the duration and the symptoms. Some people find it helpful for inner ear infection. If you suffer from hay fever then Echinacea is a fantastic tea to drink. It will help boost your immune system, reducing the symptoms of hay fever and other airborne allergies. It has healing properties that can speed healing of the skin in conditions like eczema and acne. Echinacea is often paired with Elderberry, a natural anti-viral herb.

Avoid herb teas during pregnancy, and let us know if you're taking any medication. Otherwise relax and enjoy your herbal cuppa!
