Pádraigín Ní Uallacháin will be presented with Outstanding Contribution award winner, at the TG4 Gradam Ceoil Awards in Belfast on Sunday night.
The Mullaghbawn based singer, writer and music historian is receiving the award in recognition of her work in preserving the rich musical heritage of the north Louth, south Armgh region, which saw her launching the Oriel Arts project website last year.
Padraigin will be presented with her award at the ceremony, billed as The Oscars of Irish Trad, in the Waterfront Theatre. The event, which is taking place in Belfast for the first time in its 21 year history, will be broadcast live on TG4. The awards are presented during a two hour concert and Padraigin will be joined on stage by The Voice Squad, Bláithín Mhic Cana and Piaras ó Lorcáin on the night.
