Local Polish community to join in worldwide celebration
The Polish community in Dundalk are joining in worldwide celebrations for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity which raises funds for children's charities.
Four days of events for all the family are planned which bring together members of the Polish community and their Irish neighbours.
This is the second year that the event has been held in Dundalk and it will feature two nights of live music in The Spirit Store, a children's fun day in The Pirates Day, an unplugged session in the Northend Bar with the Grand Finale in Dundalk Stadium.
The Spirit Store is the venue for two nights of live music featuring Irish and Polish bands. Nadzor, Projekt Borsuk and Apteka will be playing on Friday ngiht, while Dem Fools, El Grey, Sonia and Lilly Hates Roses take to the stage on Saturday night. Tickets, €15 for one night or €25 for two, are on sale from The Spirit Store and McAteers Food House.
There is also an unplugged evening with surprise guests in the Northend Bar on Saturday.
A fun day for children takes place in Pirates Den on Friday from from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m, admission €5.
The festival culminates with the grand finale at Dundalk Stadium on Sunday from 12am until midnight with traditional Polish music, food and fun for all the family. Admission free.
