Library members to get free access to world's newspapers
Louth Library Service is now providing library members with free access to the world's largest online newspaper portal offering free access over 7,000 local, national and international newspapers and magazines online with Library PressReader.
All Louth library members can read and download any number of the 3,547 newspapers or choose from 3,773 magazines to any device from across the globe free of charge.
Louth County Council Chief Executive Joan Martin stated: 'This new free service will ensure that people across Louth, their family and friends can keep up to date with the local, national and international news. It is a real positive considering how mobile people are now and great for the Irish diaspora to easily keep in touch with local news. Likewise our migrant communities can now keep in touch with the news from home'.
Anyone wishing to use the service will need their library card number. For those who need to join or renew their library membership, they can do so by logging onto www. louthcoco.ie
