Two Bay Estate N.S pupils have been awarded for their entries in the ESB Networks' 'Stay Safe, Stay Clear' poster competition.

Alice O'Shaughnessy Larkin and Sanese Lamberga, both students at ScoilMhuire Na nGael, were recently presented with their prizes for their colourful and educational creations.

The aim of the competition is to educate primary school children about how to stay safe when they are playing outdoors near electricity poles and overhead wires. It provides a fun, exciting and educational way for pupils from Junior Infants to 6th Class to discover the benefits of electricity, while learning to be safe around it through lesson plans designed around curriculum strand units and learning objectives.

These winning designs will feature in the ESB Networks calendar, sent to schools throughout Ireland.
