The best things to do this week
1 Things get heavy down at The Spirit Store on Saturday night when Belfast punk band The Outcasts. Formed back in 1977, the band have a loyal following, not just at home but across Europe.
The band reformed in 2010 after Greg Cowan marked his 50th birthday by playing a handful of songs to invited guests with his brother Martin and Raymond Falls at the Black Box in Belfast. Special guests on the night are Dundalk's own The Gakk.
2 It's Mayfest at the Village Saloon, Dromin this weekend, starting on Thursday with Daithi Mc Gahon, Christy Dignam & Joe Jewell. Cash Returns play Friday and on Saturday, it's The Legend of Luke Kelly. Brendan McGahey plays a free gig on Sunday from 6pm. Tickets from The Village Saloon or The Fairgreen Bar Ardee.
