Singer Eve's Dundalk debut

There's a treat in store for local music fans when soprano Eve Garavan takes to the stage of An Tain Arts Centre on Saturday at 8pm.

Eve is an award-winning soprano, whose mother Pauline McArdle is from Rassan, Hackballscros. She has performed in many concerts and recitals around Ireland, both in a solo capacity and as a member of leading Irish chamber choirs including Anúna, Collegium and New Dublin Voices.

She has a great interest in Irish traditional music and seeks to explore the worlds of both classical and traditional music.

She recently sang with New Dublin Voices as they performed the world premiere of Snow Dance for the Dead by Sean Doherty at the 11th World Choral Symposium in Barcelona.

Accompanied by Panpan Lin on piano and Niamh O'Brien on harp, she will perform a selection of French songs, lieder and opera arias from Mozart, Handel, Bach, Schumann, Gounod as well as some beautiful traditional Irish songs
