School fashion extravaganza

Saint Francis School Parents Association's fashion extravaganza takes place on Friday in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The show will be presented by Sunday Independent Beauty Columnist and Beauty Expert Triona McCarthy and Cathy O'Connor, fashion stylist, both of whom are well known for their appearances on XPose on TV3.

The pair have established a big reputation in fronting fashion shows across the country, and Triona has a very personal interest in the local show. She set up a scholarship in memory of her sister following the latter's death from breast cancer.

The event is to help raise funds for the newly opened Saint Francis School on Rock Road, but is also being run in support of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, as well as the Irish Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC).

Fashions will be exhibited by leading local outlets Ozone, Ruby Nu, After Sybil, Modern Fashions, Pulse Pacemaker, Tony McDonnell, Brass Rail and Rapport.

Main sponsors of the night Elave are sponsoring a Best Dressed competition, the prize for which is an overnight stay at Tankardstown House including dinner.

Tickets for the show, priced €25 are available from After Sybil, Main Street and Ruby Nu, Park Street, Dundalk as well as Saint Francis School.
