On Saturday night there really was only one party to be seen at and that was at the 50th for Maria Litchfield from Fane View. It took place in Uncle Tom's Cabin in Blackrock and a huge crowd including her partner Sean Clarke and kids Lorelle and John, brother Vincent and sisters Caroline and Julie.

I was only in the door when I met up with Maria who works in The Jockeys and she said she was looking forward to a great night and wanted to thank everyone for coming to the party.

Heading over to a table I met up with Maria's brother Vincent from Beechmount Drive who was sitting with cousin Patrick and Rosemary Toner from Inniskeen and Patrick's parents Paddy and Hilda Toner from Church View who all wanted to wish Maria all the best on her big night.

Seated close by were Maria's partner Sean who was chatting to Lisa McGuirk from Oldbridge and sister Julie Litchfield from Beechmount Drive who assured me the crack was only getting going and it was going to be an epic night.

After this I headed over for a chat with Sky Hand originally from Latvia but now living in Farndreg who was up for making the best of the celebrations with Maria's sister Caroline Litchfield from Beechmount Drive.

Also in their company were Ciaran and Tiernan Kelly from Beechmount Drive who were there with Tiernan's mate Ryan Connolly from Woodview Park who wanted to wish the birthday girl all the best on her big night.

Not too long later I headed for the tables where all Maria's neighbours from Fane View were there and caught up with Sharon and Stanley Meehan who were with Caroline and Jonathan Smith who were delighted to be there on the night.

Also at the same table were Aishling and Tommy McGuinness, Suzanne and Declan Carron, Joanne and John Soraghan, Rosie and John Sharkey and Jennifer Agnew who said that once they all got together it was going to be an epic night for sure.

Meanwhile up near the bar I caught up with Mary and Martin Lynch from Haggardstown who were with Sean McArdle from St. Furseys Terrace who told me it was going to be a great night and the pub was a great spot to hold it.

No too long later I met up with Sean Clarke who was having a laugh with his mates Marc McGee from Seafield Lawns, Joe McNally from Dromiskin and David McCourt from Knockbridge who told me the night was still young and they were sure it was going to be an epic one.

Seated slightly away from the main party I then got a word with Siobhan McNally from Dromiskin and Linda Mooney from Knockbridge who were in great form and getting ready to party the night away with Maria and everyone else.

Meanwhile back up near the bar I met up with Rita Doyle, Maria Dullaghan and Noel Doyle all from Blackrock who wanted to wish Maria a very big happy birthday.

Just arrived in the door was Maria's daughter Lorelle along with her friend Claire Keaskin from Laurel Grove who were ready to party the night away.

Next I caught up with pub proprietors Kevin and Janine Soraghan who are big mates with Sean and Maria and wanted to wish her all the best on her big night.

Finally, before I departed I got a word with John Fox from Tallanstown who was with gatecrashers Jody Kennedy and Fintan Malone both from Tallanstown who said they were only there for the chicken curry, and who could blame them?
