Huge crowd in Clans for Martina's 40th
Dundalk After Dark
One party I certainly wasn't going to miss was the 40th birthday celebrations held for Martina Murray from Fatima Court which was held in the Clans on Friday night.
A huge crowd had turned out for the birthday girl including her mum Carmel and aunts Rita and Ann who were down from Dublin specially for the party.
I wasn't too long in the door when I got talking to Michelle Tremenan from Armagh Road who works with Martina in Rehab and anted to wish all the best on her big night.
Next I caught up with Martina's mum Carmel who was having a laugh with neighbours Frances and Eimear Cullen from Fatima Court and Paul McArdle also from Fatima Court with his delightful daughter Ashlinn who all wanted to make sure that Martina had an excellent night.
Also at the same table were Sharon and Jessica Hoey from Marian Park, Suzanne Haughey from Fatima Court, Kirsty Thornton from Hackballscross and neighbour Michelle Creed who was down from Dublin for the party and they all assured me it was going to be an epic night.
Next I got taking to my old friend Kyle Norton from Blackrock who was in great form and wanted to wish Martina all the best on her big night.
I then managed a quick word with Martina's friend Jason Kelly from Castletown Road who told me he's also be the DJ for the night too and was really looking forward to having the dancefloor filled.
Heading for an adjacent table I then got a quick word with Martina's cousin Edel Dalton from Dublin who was having a laugh with aunties Rita Fitzgerald from Kildare and Ann Dalton from Dublin who were certainly up for making the best of the party with Suzanne and all her friends.
One man who certainly knows how to party was Oliver Hanratty from Carrick Road who wanted to wish his friend a very happy 40th.
After this I headed over to a table where I got a chat with Christina King from Knockbridge, Karen Long from Ardee, Grainne Duffy from Belfry Drive, Sandra Shields from Oakland Park and Harry Matthews from Hackballscross who assured me they certainly weren't there to make up the numbers, they were there to party the night away with their friend Martina.
As I made my way through the crowds, I then got talking to Marie Grimes from Belfry Drive who wanted to wish Martina all the best on her big night and to tell her the party was fantastic.
Not too long later met up with Noreen Crotty and Bernie Maguire both from Belfry Drive who told me it was a brilliant party and wanted to wish Marina a very happy birthday.
They were sitting beside Sheila and Francis Greene from Hackballscross who said that Francis word with Martina in the Rehab and were with Mena McCarthy from Point Road who was having a fantastic night with all her friends and workmates.
Meanwhile, up near the bar I got a swift word with John and Olive Martin from Kilcurry who were there with daughter Sarah and told me it was going to be a brilliant night and wanted to wish the birthday girl a very happy 40th, as did David Coyle from the Loakers whom I met next.
I then headed for a table where I caught up with Michelle and Sean Murray from Kilcurry who were with kids Darren, Kelly and Laura who wanted to wish their cousin all the best on her big night and to say they were having a lovely night.
Not too long later I met up with Audrey Marron from Tierney House in Ardee who was there with Stephen Mannison, Fiacre McDonald and Orla Balfe all from Tierney House who were over from Ardee specially because they definitely didn't wat to miss Martina's big bash.
