Home gig for Words That Burn

Dundalk's own Words That Burn are set to play at the opening night of the town's newest venue, the Disfunction Room, upstairs in the Uaisce Beatha, Clanbrassil Street on Saturday.

Having played their first gig of the year at Dublin's Sin E at the end of February, the band are excited about getting up in front of a local audience again.

The gig will see them playing material from their recently finished second album

Their first studio release 'Praey' released back in 2013, introduced them as one of Ireland's most intense alt-metal bands, and the following year they signed an international record, distribution and publishing deal with Wormholedeath / Aural Records / Warner Chappell Holland (BV).

Their debut album 'Regret is for the Dead' in June 2016 went straight to Number 1 in the Irish Metal, Irish Rock and Irish mainstream iTunes download charts.

Since then they have become firm favourites on the Irish and European alt-metal scene and are regulars on the festival circuit.

Admission to the gig is €5.
