Friends and family enjoy Mark's 40th celebrations in Russells
One party I certainly wasn't going to miss was the epic 40th for Mark Cooney from Channonrock who was celebrating it with his family, friends and workmates in Russells on Friday night.
There to make sure he a fantastic night was his wife Dearbhla, parents Thomas and Maria Cooney from Galway, brother Daniel, mother-in-law Sharon O'Hagan from Ramparts and nanny Lucy Cooney from The Valley.
I wasn't too long in the door when I met up with cousin Kerrieann and Kwasie Boyce from Carlingford who were definitely up for making it a real night to remember.
Not too long later I then got taking to second cousin and wife David and Marie Vaz who had travelled from Kinnegad specially to be there on the night.
After this I met up with cousin Michaela McKeever who was with Robert and Kate Watters who told me the party was great and they all wanted to wish Mark all the best on his big night.
They were enjoying the company of Margaret McGee from Willow Grove who was enjoying a laugh with Marie and David and said the party was just great.
I then headed over for a chat with Mark's aunty Catriona Cooney from Faughart who was with Kerrieann and Kwasie and wanted to wish Mark a very happy birthday.
Not too long later I got taking to aunty Tina Cooney and parents Maria and Tom Cooney from Galway, aunty Elizabeth from Monaghan and granny Lucy Cooney from The Valley who were all up for making the very best of Mark's big night.
After this I headed over for a chat with some of Mark's workmates in Optimum Vision Ltd in Link Business Park and they included Lee Costello from Carrickmacross, Shane Huckfield from Ravensdale, Alan Carr (not the chatty one) from Hyde Park, Darren McCrave from Toberona, Gerry Conachy from Lurgangreen and Gerard Galbraith from Crossmaglen who wanted to wish the director all the best and they were definitely there to make the best of it.
Meanwhile up near the bar I got talking to some of Mark's neighbours and they included Jackie and John McEvoy, Mila and Anthony Hoey all from Channonrock who said the couple are really sound neighbours.
They were enjoying the company of sister-in-law Louise and Micheal O'Riordan from Carrickmacross who wanted to wish Mark all the best on his 40th.
Also in their company were Brian Donohoe from Donaghmoyne, Sharon O'Hagan from Ramparts, and Aoife Donohoe from Carrick Road who were up for making it a real night to remember.
Finally, I got a word with David O'Hagan from Kilkerley who was daughter Sophie and he assured me it was going to be nothing short of an epic celebration.
