One party that I definitely wasn't going to miss on Friday night was the 40th birthday celebrations for Sabrina Mulholland from Greenacres which was held in the Castle Bar and there to make sure she had a great night was husband Stephen, daughters Caitlin, Hayden and Nicole, mum Briege McCabe brothers Derek and Raymond, sisters Christine Kelly and Andrea Mackin and a huge collection of family and friends.

Sabrina who works in Dealz is, along with husband Stephen, a member of the North Louth Runners, told me that Derek was with his daughter Melissa, Christine and Andrea were with husbands Stuart and Gerry and she wanted to thank everyone for coming along to make it such a fantastic night.

I then decided to have a look round to see who else was up for making a night of it and met up with her buddies from the North Louth Runners who included Anita Bolton from Park Villas, Sabrina Maguire from Carrick Road, Ann Duffy from Glenwood, Eileen and Michael Jordan from Point Road who were in party mode and wanted to wish Sabrina all the best on her big night.

Not too far away I got talking to aunt and cousin Helen McArdle from Boyle O'Reilly Terrace and Theresa Ryan from Dowdallshill whom when I asked if it was going to be a subdued celebration, replies 'anywhere we go out, it's never quiet!'

Seated close by were brother-in-law Stuart Kelly from Riverside Drive and Michael Ryan originally from Limerick, but now hanging his hat in Dowdallshill who were in great form and were ready to party the night away.

Next I had the pleasure of talking to Sabrina's daughter Caitlin who was with her mates Klara Hjalmers from Blackrock and Orlagh Conway from Littlemills who were looking very well and tried to tell me it was going to be a quiet party, couldn't see it myself!

After this I caught up with Elaine Duffy from Greenacres, Debbie Mullen from Mountain View (who had brought over-sized cardboard cut-out of Robbie Williams with her), Allie Mulholland from Mountain View and Joanne Duffy from Oaklawns who told me they, along with Helen are all family and were getting ready for a major party.

Seated close by were Sabrina's workmates from Deals and they included Sinead Maguire from Hackballscross, Daniel Lambe from Newry Road, Pam McGuigan-Murphy from Knockbridge, Colleen and Colin Connolly from Carrickmacross, Tracey McCullough from Belfast, Sharon Hamill from Lisdoo and Sonya Bromley from Toberona who all wanted to wish Sabrina all the best on her big night and to really enjoy her 40s!

I then headed for the party table where I met up with Sabrina's mum Briege McCabe from Ashling Park, Ann and Karen Rice from Muirhevnamor, Derek and Melissa McCabe from Ashling Park who were joined by Christine, Andrea and Raymond who just happened to be sitting under a photo of Sabrina and her late dad Jimmy McCabe whom I had the pleasure of working with, a decent man.

Finally, before I departed I got a word with Tara Lewis from Manydown Close and Jana Sitkova from Armagh Road who wanted to wish Sabrina a very happy birthday and assured me they were definitely there to party the night away.
