Family and friends join Martina to celebrate 50th

Dundalk After Dark

On Saturday night I headed for Dowdallshill GFC where a special 50th birthday party was taking place for Martina Cassidy from Knockbridge and there to make sure she had a fantastic night was husband Hugh, kids Charlene, Naomi, Jarlath Oisín and Odhrán and a huge collection of family, friends and workmates from Eclipse Hairdressing Salon.

I wasn't too long in the door when I met up with Martina who told me she was there with sisters Winnie, Margaret, Eileen and Theresa and brothers Johnny, Mickey and Patrick and not to forget to give a shout out for the Cassidy's who included Sonya, Jacqueline, Peter, James, Ken, Peadar and Marie too.

Not too long later I headed over for a quick word with Tony and Frances Casey from The Meadows who wanted to wish Tina all the best on her big night.

After this I got a word with cousin Anthony and Tracy Lyons from Inniskeen who were with daughter Dervla and her main squeeze Mark Hoey from Carrickmacross who were up for a major night of fun and couldn't wait to hear the Stormers get the party started.

Next I had the pleasure of meeting up with Leona Levins and Karen Guildea both from Drogheda who are big friends with Tina and wouldn't have missed the party for anything.

Not too far away I then met up with Conor Quigley from Kilkerley and Patrick Reilly from Knockbridge who are family friends and wanted to wish Tina and Hugh all the best.

At an adjacent table I then met up with Rachel Durnin and Colm Warnock both from Rockfield Court who told me he was waiting on the stripper for Tina! They were with Sharon O'Shaughnessy from Lennonstown Manor who wanted a big shout out for her husband Paul who was at home babysitting Evie and James, and she was with Sinead and Mickey Morgan from Dromintee who wanted to wish their friend a very happy 50th and hoped she had a brilliant night.

Not too far away I then got talking to Paddy O'Neill and Catriona Flanagan both from Ardee who told me it was going to be an excellent night for sure.

After this I headed over for a quick word with the man that gets out more than me David O'Hare from Kingswood who was there with parents Tony and Caroline and they were there to make the best of Tina's big bash.

Heading for another table I then got talking to Patricia Rogers from Kingswood and Carol Conachy from Ashling Park who told me they are party friends of Tina's and this was going to be a fantastic night.

Making my way to another table where I got a quick word with Paul McGee who was with Katie Waller from Carrick Road, Rachel Fitzpatrick from Avenue Road and boyfriend and the birthday girl's nephew Evan Hutchinson from The Meadows and niece Leona Burns from O'Hanlon Park who all wanted to wish Tina all the best on her big night.

After this I got a quick word with my old mate Denis Rice from Fr. Murray Park who was with his delightful wife Margaret and they were having a laugh with Robert and Avril O'Hagan from Mount Avenue who all know Tina and were going to have an excellent night of fun and dancing.

Finally, before I left, I met up with sisters Pauline and Anne Duffy from Boyle O'Reilly Terrace, Brendan and Ethel Carolan and Blondie Cumiskey all from Beechmount Drive and Denise Woods from Dunbin who wanted to wish Martina a very happy 50th and hoped she had a brilliant night altogether.
