On Saturday night as soon as the Champions League final was over, I headed straight for the Lilywhite Lounge in Oriel Park specially for the 30th birthday celebrations for Darren Casey from Fatima Drive.

Darren who was there with his parents Linda and Tom, brother Barry and sisters Leanda and Michelle, has been dancing with Riverdance for the past 12 years all over the world and told me he's back in the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin this week with them for an extended run.

I then decided to have a look round to see who else was there and met his uncle Bun Casey from the Holylands who told me that the birthday boy is 'the spit' of his uncle Michael Roddy and this was agreed by Sean Coburn from Mill Road and Mick Foley from Hyde Park who wanted to wish all the best to Darren on his big night.

I then headed for the aunts table where I caught up with Olive Watters and Cindy McKinley both from Greenacres, Eileen and cousin Louise Storey from Ashling Park who told me it was an excellent party and they were having a brilliant night.

Making my way over to the high table I then met up with Laura Bray from Dromiskin, Leanne Martin from Ardee, Becky O'Sullivan from Dublin and Darren's niece Alanna Neary from Farndreg who told me they all work in the birthday boy's cousin's Justin Casey hair salon and to say he is nothing short of "a ledge".

Also at the same table were Lyndsey Moran from Union Street and Aileen Ahmed from Laurel Brook Gardens who were with his sister Leanda Hegarty from Bay Estate who tried to tell me it was going to be a quiet celebration, eh not from where I was standing ladies.

They were also in the company of the birthday boy's godmother Dara Moran from Union Street, his mum Linda Casey from FFF and Barry's wife Elaine Casey from Farndreg who didn't need to be asked twice if it was going to be an epic party along with his favourite cousin Simone Moran from Union Street and his sister Michelle Rogers from Maple Close.

Heading for an adjacent table I then got taking to aunty Marian and Jackie Moran from Union Street who were there with Sandra and Brendan McCabe from Cedarwood Park who were looking forward to a major night of fun with Darren and all his friends from Riverdance.

And speaking of them I then caught up with Bobby Hogges from Bristol, Niamh and Louise O'Sullivan from Dublin, Fergus Fitzpatrick from Navan and Oisin O'Gógáin originally from Dublin but now living in Kildare, whose granny taught me many moons ago and they were there for their fellow dancer and assured me they definitely know how to party.

Next I got a quick word with Darren's brother Barry from Farndreg who said he was with his wife Elaine and daughter Allana and were there to celebrate with the best of them.

Beside Barry I then got talking to cousin Emma Verbeek from Ashling Park and Kayla Minto from Medebawn who were up for making the best of Darren's big night.

I headed for a table where I caught up with neighbours Harry and his good wife Jacqueline Brennan from Fatima who were with daughter Laura and her future husband Killian Martin both from Hackballscross who were having a lovely night with everyone there.

After this I headed over for a word with Aoife Myers from Farndreg and cousin Ciara Casey from Lis Na Dara who were just in and were ready to party the night away.

Next I headed for a table where I got talking to Michelle McLearnon and Anthony Bocella both from Fatima Drive, Brendan McNamee from Kilcurry who were enjoying the company of Amy Finnegan and Miceál Markey both from Fatima who told me they just love Darren because he's a mad b…, oops!

They were up for a night of it with Sean Byrne from Mount Avenue who was with Kirsty Todd from Waterville Crescent who were up for a major night of fun and were ready to party along with Darren's cousin, well known hair stylist Justin Casey who wanted to wish his cousin and his bestie all the best on his big night.

He was having a laugh with Darrell Corrway and Lee Brennan from Fatima Drive, Aaron O'Connor from Upper Fatima (the posh part), Paul Coburn from Fatima Court, Daniel Mulligan from Hackballscross and Aaron Byrne from Fatima who told me they've been mates with Darren for years and went on to say they are all 'Fagan's mates', so it was going to be an epic night for sure!!!
