The Corrs continue to make history with their latest hit album In Blue, which is topping the charts in eight countries.
The album is No.1 in Ireland, the UK, Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria and Spain.
‘In Blue’ went straight to No. 1 in the Irish album charts, and has the third highest sales for week of release in Ireland in the history of the charts, behind U2’s ‘Greatest Hits’ and Oasis with ‘Be Here Now’.
This week also sees all four of the band’s albums, ‘Forgiven, Not Forgotten’, ‘Talk On Corners’, ‘Unplugged’, as well as ‘In Blue’, in the Irish Top 30, and their combined sales make up 30 per cent of the Top 75 in Ireland.
Already, ‘In Blue’ has gone Triple Platinum in Ireland, while ‘Forgiven, Not Forgotten’ is 13 times platinum, ‘Talk On Corners’, 20 times platinum and ‘Unplugged’ is 8 times platinum.
The band are currently touring South East Asia and Australia, where they have been No 1 since last week. They are due to travel to the United States in September to coincide with the release of their new album, with appearances on Jay Leno, Rosie O’Donnell, David Letterman and Conan O’Brien.
