Dundalk After Dark

One venue that was guaranteed to be packed to capacity on New Year's Eve had to be Brubakers where the crowds were queueing from early on to get in.

I wasn't too long in the door when I had the pleasure of meeting up with Oonagh Murray from Point Road who was there with Jagger Murray from Drogheda from the band Black Swan, they were enjoying the night with Niamh Donegan from Kingswood, Ven Gorham from Roden Place, Anne McGarrell from Blackrock who is home from Perth for the festive holiday and was up for making the best of the night with all her mates.

Heading for another table I then got a word with Ryan Kelly from Ravensdale, Tadhg Leahy from Cooley, Aidan Ruddy from New End and Jade Murphy from Cooley who were all set for making the night an epic.

Seated close by I then met up with Damien Babington who told me he was with Giddy Gilsenan from Dromiskin and Maria Hoey from McSwiney Street and they were definitely there for the night.

Making my way over to another table I caught up with Chris Skehan from Blackrock who was out with Alison Grimes from Muirhevnamor and they were looking forward to a major night of fun and celebrations.

After this I headed over for a chat with Mark McDonnell from Avenue Road, Emma and Sinead McCarthy both from Haggardstown who were delighted to be in and told me it was going to be a fantastic night there.

I then headed for a table where I got talking to Ciaran McConnon from Manydown Close and Michelle McEneaney from Castlebellingham who were in great form and said it was going to be a fantastic night.

I then headed for an adjacent table where I met up with Ronan Sharkey from Dromiskin, Paddy McEntegart from Point Road, Regina McEvoy from Dromiskin, Elaine Fitzsimons from Inniskeen, Caitriona and Conor Derry from Lurgan who told me they were overseas visitors and there to party with their friends.

One couple who had come from Newry because they knew it was going to be a brilliant night in Brubakers were Thomas and Julie Morgan.

Meanwhile up where the band usually set up I got a word with Ursula and Jade Christodoulides from Saltown and Glenwood who told me that Bru's was the only place to be on new year's eve.

Also up there but getting ready to move upstairs were Robert Ivancea from Waterville Crescent, A.J. from College Manor, Stephen G. from Dublin and Claudiu Valentine from College Manor who were ready for a major party night.

Just in the door and looking for somewhere to enjoy the night from were Peter Ward and Lauren Myles both from Louth Village who were Amy and Brian Hourigan from Shercock and told me that it was going to be an epic night.

I then headed for the bar where I got talking to Darren Harmon from Aghameen Park and Jason Quigley from Clontigora Court who were ready for a major celebration.

Finally, before I departed I got a word with Conor Bradley from Cooley Park and Vanessa Handorf from Germany who were there for the night and were going to party the night away.
