Dundalk After Dark

On Saturday night I headed for the Clermont Arms where a rather special 30th birthday party was taking place for Sinead Connolly from Bay Estate and there to make sure she had a fantastic night was her mum Carmel, sisters Michelle, Catherine, Sarah and Emma, nanny and grandaunt Eileen Donnelly and Rose McCann both from Ardee Terrace and boyfriend Danny Farrell from Greengates and a huge collection of family and friends.

Sinead is a freelance beautician working from home and also in Déjà Vu hair and beauty and when I caught up with her, she wanted to thank everyone for coming along and making it such a special night.

I was only in the door when I met up with Sinead's main squeeze Daniel Farrell who was there with his brothers TJ and Peter and their friend Ciaran Traynor from Blackrock who wanted to wish the birthday girl a very happy 30th.

Not too far away I got talking to some of her friends from Déjà Vu

and they included Eileen Conway and Nicole Gallagher both from Ath Lethan, Carolann Connor, Roisin Hughes from Avondale Park, Sinead O'Neill from Channonrock, Deborah Wynne from Point Road and Laura Flanagan from Drogheda who were delighted to be there with their colleague and were looking forward to a mad night too.

Not too far away I got talking to Sinead's sister Sarah who was with Mark Duffy from Mourne Vale and they were having a laugh with Victoria O'Hare and Gemma Stewart from both from Kingswood who eventually admitted they were gatecrashers and were really only there for the chicken goujons and cocktail sausages!

Meanwhile over at another table I met up with John Sheelan from Carlingford who was with his sister Sandy and Sinead's sister Michelle, he told me the party was getting going and was really good.

At an adjacent table I caught up with Hannah and Katelyn Donnelly from Bay Estate who wanted to wish their cousin a very happy 30th birthday and they were definitely up for making the best of the party.

Seated at another table I got talking to Anne Duffy from Glenwood and Louth Rose Annmarie Woods also from Glenwood who told me she is an Irish dancing friends for many years and wouldn't have missed her party for anything.

Beside them I met up with Eddie and Marie Maguire from Greengates who were with daughter Janice who are all family friends of the Connolly's.

After this I got a word with Paddy Reilly, Paddy Murphy and Claude Harmon Jnr. All from Blackrock who wanted to wish Sinead a very happy birthday.

Not too far away I met up with cousin Ciaran Finan from Manydown Close who as with Fiona Kirk from Avondale and they were all set to party the night away with Sinead and the rest of the family.

Finally, before I departed, I got talking to Danny's twin Donna Farrell from Greengates who was with Gillian O'Reilly from Manydown Close and they were there to make a totally insane night of Sinead's 30th and wanted to wish her all the best on her big night.
