Another LCMS first at arts festival
Dundalk Out & About
The world of cinema and contemporary music come together when a brand new work by Canadian Nicole Lizée will be presented for the first time in Ireland at St Peter's Church of Ireland, Drogheda, on Saturday May 4 at 8 p.m.
The centrepiece of the programme will be a brand new work referring to films by Steven Spielberg, commissioned by the Louth Contemporary Music Society with funds from the Arts Council. Performing at the piano will be Megumi Masaki, another Canadian who has been working closely with the composer throughout the last decade. She will also perform two earlier compositions with which she has been associated from the beginning: Hitchcock Etudes and Kubrick Etudes.
Scenes from the films will shown on a screen during the performance making it a multi-media event.
