A Maytime Serenade in aid of Rape Crisis North East

A beautiful concert of classical music and song takes place on Saturday in An Tain Arts Centre in aid of Rape Crisis North East.

'A Maytime Serenade' features a delightful programme of music from the world of musicals, opera and operetta, including favourites from Showboat, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, Chess, La Boheme, Rigoletto, and Turandot.

Tenor David Martin, who has toured the United States as part of The Five Irish Tenors, will be joined by baritone Jackie Winkless, well known for his work with Dundalk Musical Society and his tv appearances, mostly recently on the Late, Late Show, and soprano Niamh McCormick, who trained with Geraldine McGee and has performed around the world. They will be accompanied by Jillian Saunders on piano and Maria Mason on violin. Maria who has performed around the world with classical and contemporary musicians, will also perform some violin solos.
