With the football quarter-final draw made, Dick Clerkin joins Will and Michael on this week’s Throw-In assessing each team’s chances and one issue sticks in his throat – could Derry or Armagh really be in this year’s All-Ireland final?
Armagh face Galway while Derry play Clare, and Mayo will have to do it the hard way once again if they want to have a chance, having to beat Kerry and probably Dublin, who wait ominously for Cork in their clash.
With the hurling also down to the last eight, Wexford legend Tom Dempsey previews his county’s mouth-watering tie against the Clare juggernaut while Cork v Galway is too close to call and Limerick and Kilkenny await in the semis.
Every Monday the Throw-In brings you the Irish Independent’s best insights and analysis from all the weekend GAA action.
