DJ Carey is regarded as one of the Ireland's most successful sports stars. In hurling, his technique, speed and skill earned him the nickname 'The Dodger' and the sports accolades followed.

But Kilkenny's nine-time All-Star player is making the headlines for all the wrong reasons over an alleged 99pc debt write down of €9.5m, a settlement secured with AIB Bank in 2017.
