Mere days in the political field as those in power scratch their heads over solutions to a problem they instigated, is a troubling amount of time in the world of disease progression.

Long-term illnesses and medical problems rarely take breaks. They strike at the most inconvenient times and the ongoing energy it takes to cope with fighting them is exhausting. It should not be wasted on fighting the system. 

The failure to reinstate medical cards to those in need reminds one of the foolish tactic of picking chunks off a scab and hoping it won’t bleed.
