Seasoned employer of au pairs Thomas Molloy eavesdropped on three young women discussing their Irish families
Chatting away on the train home after a night out, the three au pairs freely swapped war stories about their respective adoptive families and dissected their foibles.

The most vivacious of the three, a Teutonic beauty from the Claudia Schiffer school, appeared to be suffering from one of the oldest psycho dramas in history; both father and 15-year-old son had developed a crush which had already led to several near escapes and a frosty relationship with the bean an tí.
