My Pet: Can you help us to help others?

Ivy and Jasmine
Ivy and Jasmine

Kate Durrant

Hello, I'm Ivy! I'm a card-carrying, hi-vis-wearing assistance pup in training for Irish Dogs for the Disabled, and I live with my foster mammy and daddy and my puppy half-sister Jasmine in Blarney, Co Cork.

We were both born in the Dochas Centre at Mountjoy Prison, where we lived until we were eight weeks old. As you can imagine, we were spoilt rotten by the ladies.

We went to live with one of the charity's hand-picked foster families, who are based throughout Ireland, who socialise with us until we are 18 months old.
