We can't preach to the Israelis
MICHAEL Higgins should not leave the enlivening of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development entirely to Israel (Letters, May 14).
Look what we, in this island of saints and scholars, can crow about. We have the 'peace walls' in Belfast to prevent the Catholic and Protestants followers of the God of Love from slaughtering each other.
We could give talks about brown envelopes and planning permissions. . . and how about a prime minister who did not have a bank account?
