Walk on

Liverpool Football Club are in serious danger of tarnishing the reputation of their club by defending the indefensible.

The statement released by the club backing their player, Luis Suarez, and asking how he can be found guilty on the word of Patrice Evra alone, is quite naive and seems to have been written in anger and defensiveness rather than dealing with the reality of the situation.

The club failed to grasp the fact that Mr Suarez admitted using the racist term, so why do Liverpool FC protest that it was the word of Mr Evra alone that has led to a guilty verdict when it was Mr Suarez's own statement and admission of use of the term that brought the investigating committee to an unavoidable guilty verdict.
