Unionists silent on loyalist yobs
ON the first day back at the Assembly, SDLP leader Alasdair McDonnell waxed lyrical about the new addition to the royal family. Alban Maginness followed the unionists in condemning a peaceful, dignified republican commemoration in Castlederg.
Not once did I hear unionists condemn loyalist violence over the summer, the attack on Belfast's Lord Mayor, or the threat from unionist paramilitaries against Catholic schoolchildren.
