Unfair to focus on TG4 schedule

Madam -- I found parts of Will Hanafin's article about TG4 in the Sunday Independent Life magazine, July 22, very funny and well-written, and I especially loved his clone prodigy 'Dector'.

But in regard to TG4 I found Will's article grossly unfair and poorly researched.

Will complains a lot about the programmes being repeated like Route 66 and O Tholg go Tolg, so I had a little gander at today's RTE schedule and, surprise surprise, it's filled with repeats such as Kitchen Hero, The Nanny, Nationwide and About the House. We all know that summer is the worst time for TV. I think Will should pick another week in November to watch wall-to-wall TG4 and he will find it much more satisfying with the likes of Ros na Run, Rasai na Gaillimhe and Seacht La and fewer repeats.
