There's been no recovery here

I read that our Finance Minister confirmed that there will be no double-dip recession in Ireland (Irish Independent, September 24).

I think in order for the economy to double-dip, it must first recover after the first dip. Mr Lenihan and Mr Cowen need to stop gilding the lily. There has been no recovery, not even a stabilisation.

I feel it would be wiser to heed the bond markets and the yield spreads between us and the rest of world.
