The speed limit is not a target
Sir -- I watched a garda on a RTE programme talking about speeding in cars. He said for instance, on the N7 from Naas to Dublin, you have a speed limit of 100km.
He went on to say this is not a target, you may drive at 80km to 90km. I have found this to be very good advice indeed. However, driving into Dublin's Fair City daily, I notice drivers, mainly truck drivers, flashing their lights for me to hurry up to the maximum speed. I wonder how these truck drivers will find the 30km across the city centre. Will they remember that it's not a target?
