The problem with this country

I see that civil servants will keep their privilege days in return for giving up their half hour to cash their pay cheque.

This is the problem with this country. In this electronic age, why would anyone need to walk to a bank to get a cheque cashed considering cheques are to be abolished over the coming years?

Every school was shut this week, and you can rest assured it was not for pupils' safety but rather in case a student fell and sued. In Cork, the county council would not give out grit to farmers to keep their drives safe. Why? On health and safety grounds!
