The Muddle East

• Anti-Semitism is defined in the Oxford English Dictionary as "hostility to or prejudice against Jews". The European Forum on Anti-Semitism gives a far more detailed working definition which starts with the sentence "Anti-Semitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews" and includes "Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, eg, by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavour".

Not all Arabs are of Semitic descent and Ashkenazi Jews, whether they were in exile in the US or Russia, have been proven in many DNA tests to be of Middle Eastern origin. You won't find many blue-eyed blond Jews, although there are a very few converts. It is a far easier process to convert to Islam, and consequently there are far more converts to Islam by people of non-Semitic descent.

In any case the definition of anti-Semitism is clear. It is a hatred of Jews, not of Arabs.
