Take your time

Steve Jobs asked himself each morning before he shaved: 'If I knew I was going to die would I still do what I am doing today', if the answer was 'no' on a number of consecutive days, he knew he had to make changes in his life.

With the new year upon us it might be constructive to review the purposes and consequences of our actions.

Whatever we do, our intentions need to be positive if we are to make progress.

Last year we lost Mr Jobs, but the extraordinary legacy he left us suggests that those few reflective moments he spent preparing himself for the day ahead were not wasted.

He took his time to change his time.
