SIPTU's election warning backfires

I'VE just heard Jack O'Connor's call for Labour Party support, saying the prospect of a Fine Gael single-party government would be a "recipe for disaster". Disaster as measured against what exactly? The last administration, which brought our country to ruination and to which the likes of Mr O'Connor had unfettered access?

The last thing we all need is for interest groups like SIPTU prowling the corridors of power once again. Mr O'Connor is as much to blame for our woes as the likes of Bertie Ahern, Brian Cowen and the born again Micheal Martin.

Perhaps he might be better served updating us all on the ongoing audit into SIPTU slush funds. I was, up to this point, a floating voter. Now I'm voting Fine Gael. Thanks Jack.
