THE letter from E O'Neill made some good points about prisoners (Irish Independent, August 5). Unfortunately, what he or she obviously fails to realise is that in Ireland criminals are treated as though they are the victims.
If you're not willing to live by the accepted rules of a civilised society you don't deserve to have the protection of a civilised society.
