Pride of place

• We have had such beautiful weather this week that I took a drive around the lakes. The sun danced on the water as I drove around trying unsuccessfully to get a parking space to view the lakes and read a poetry book.

However, I could only find one parking space which was just over the bridge at Blessington and it was a rough spot to park. With such beautiful lakes a mere few miles from beautiful Dublin why is there not a parking area on the lakes?

This mystified me. It is such a lack of insight by the powers that be not to place parking spaces and picnic tables so people can stop to view these beautiful lakes.
