Pot, kettle, black on tolerance

MARTIN Deegan (Letters, April 13) objects to the call from Noel Ward, deputy general secretary of INTO, for the repeal of section 37 of the Employment Equality Act, which allows certain organisations to discriminate on the basis of their religious beliefs.

He complains that: "This type of aggressive secularism is a form of totalitarianism and has no place in any democracy."

It is interesting to compare the tone of his language with those who call for the equal treatment of people.
