Political class is not fit for power
Madam -- Having read Eddie Molloy's excellent article on the political system in last Sunday's paper, I couldn't agree more.
The political class is not fit or qualified for national governance. There's something pathetic about the fact that a politician can become a Taoiseach or minister even though most voters don't want them. When politics gets involved in decision-making, the best outcomes are rarely achieved. Politics is a dirty word and needs to be taken out of national governance.
