Having read the statement of Bertie Ahern that Brian Cowen was guilty of not informing the public, it appears to me that he still fails to understand that the present financial chaos is down to him. He was the leader and his was the responsibility.
No one else but him. He can blame Lehmans or anyone else, but Lehmans had no control over Ireland. The shame of our situation is that he and his cohorts will be rewarded with huge pensions for their abject failure to mind the people. That is the real crime.
