Pay imbalance

• The introduction of a wage band of around €22,000 for trainee nurses is a curious starting point for addressing the imbalance in spending in the public service.

The justification seems to be that they have no experience, and therefore are worth no more.

How then might one justify the payment of €92,000 plus tens of thousands more in expenses for new TDs?
