Our leaders must weather storms
IN response to Alan Fairbrother (Letters, January 21) about the Minister for Transport being tardy in Malta, I take umbrage at his comments about "a bit of snow and a salt shortage".
Perhaps in Dublin 16, where Mr Fairbrother resides, there was an efficient salt and gritting system in place. I can assure him that where the rest of Ireland lives, it was chaotic and disorganised.
I was lucky enough to have a "gas-guzzling" SUV to get around, but most were not so lucky.
