Opposition to women priests

Letters advocating women priests irritate me as they do not recognise reality. While women's loyalty to the Catholic Church should be rewarded with full equality, it is unrealistic to believe this will happen.

If women ever did become priests, they would merely promote a patriarchal doctrine, thus unwittingly promoting inequality all over again. Worse than that, women priests would be permitted just to compensate for the shortage of male priests.

Isn't it enough that women are already underpaid and useful fools in every other employment sector?
