No alternative to 'murky depths'
Reading Patrick Corkery's critical comments on an opposition party having the temerity to indulge in the "mucky depths of partisan politics" gives me an idea of how North Korea is run (Letters, September 30).
Has Patrick Corkery no memory of the deference shown by much of the Irish media for well over a decade to a Government that was running the country into the ground?
The former Taoiseach, like the leader in North Korea, was kowtowed to. When his successor took office the coverage by sycophantic journalists was hagiographic.
