Make your voice heard on reform

John Cooney's speculation (Irish Independent, March 19) on who might succeed Cardinal Brady prompts me to use your columns to encourage fellow Catholics to take a more active part in determining the future direction of the church here.

Informed observers speculate that there is likely to be a major reorganisation of the Irish church, so it is time for those of us who care to make our views known on such administrative issues as whether we want to see primacy moved from Armagh to Dublin or a reduction of dioceses from 26 to 12.

Those who have views on these and related issues should write to their own diocesan pastoral councils and to the Papal Nuncio Most Rev Dr G Leanza, The Apostolic Nunciature, 183 Navan Road, Dublin 7.
