Letters: Truth emerges in the strangest of places
* The last of the copper and gold leaves are clinging to the trees, the liquid sun has lowered – in short, winter is upon us.
This time of year affords me an early opportunity to slip out of the house and down the road for a couple of "stabilisers".
For the look of things, I like to hold on until the sun is over the yardarm before I set off. The shorter days are welcome towards this end.
